- 3 (1 lb.) cans whole hominy, washed
- 2 (12 oz.) cans whole kernel corn, drained
- 6 Tbsp. canned, peeled green chiles
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
- butter, pepper and salt
Directions

1Butter a 2-quart casserole.

2Put, in layers, 1/3 hominy and 1/3 corn.

3Add pepper, salt and 3 tablespoons green chiles.

4Dot with butter.

5Add 4 tablespoons sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese. Repeat the layers of hominy, corn, seasonings, sour cream and cheese, ending with final third of hominy and corn.

6Top with butter, pepper and grated cheese.

7Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

8Serves 8 to 10.
