- 2/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening or 2/3 c. lard
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 to 5 Tbsp. cold water
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour and salt until particles are size of small peas.

2Sprinkle in water 1 tablespoon at a time, tossing with a fork until all flour is moistened and pastry almost cleans side of bowl.

3(One to 2 tablespoons more water can be added if needed.)
