Ingredients

  • 8 oz. medium shells, cooked
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground round beef
  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (1 lb.) jar Ragu sauce
  • 1 large can Italian tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 lb. sour cream
  • 1 pkg. sliced Provolone cheese
  • 1 pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Mix first 5 ingredients.

    Add Ragu sauce and tomatoes.

    Simmer the sauce for 45 minutes.

    Layer:

    1/4 sauce, 1/4 shells, 1/4 sour cream, 1/4 Provolone cheese and 1/4 Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat layers until all items have been used.

    Top with grated Romano cheese.

    Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350°.
