  • Rolls:
  • Group 1 Ingredients
  • 1T Ground Cardamom
  • 1/2 C milk (preferably whole) at body temp
  • 2 packets (5 teaspoons) dry yeast
  • 2 T sugar
  • Group 2 Ingredients
  • 1 large or 2 small (1 pound) starchy potato
  • 4 1/2 C All purpose flower
  • 6T sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter - room temp
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest OR 1/4 tea. orange extract
  • 1 T good sea salt or other uniodized salt (Kosher salt, etc.)
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 3 T. Cream Cheese
  • 3/4 C dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 T Vanilla Extract
  • 2 T Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 T. Ground Cardamom
  • 1 C chopped nuts - walnuts or pecans work especially well
  • 1 C dried currants, raisins, dates, or other fruit of your choice (you can mix them)
  • Glaze:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
