- 1/2 peck (1 gal.) tomatoes (not too ripe)
- 2 green peppers
- 2 large onions
- 1 c. salt
- 1 pt. vinegar
- 1 pt. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. white mustard seed
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions

1Put tomatoes, peppers and onions through food grinder or chop very fine.

2Mix with 1 cup salt.

3Put in a thin bag and hang to drain for 24 hours.

4Then mix thoroughly with vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, celery seed and cayenne pepper.

5Do not cook or heat this mixture.

6It keeps perfectly with sealing.

7Makes about 3 pints.
