Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. fresh spinach, cut into bite size pieces, cleaned
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried, drained and crumbled
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced and separated
  • 2/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, cut in strips

    Cover bottom of deep, clear-glass bowl with fresh, raw spinach.

    Sprinkle salt, pepper and sugar over spinach.

    Add bacon to spinach, then eggs.

    Cover with lettuce, salt, pepper and sugar.

    Spread peas over the lettuce and cover them with slices of red sweet onions.

    Add mayonnaise over top like icing.

    Cover with strips of Swiss cheese.

    Refrigerate at least 24 hours.
