- 2/3 c. brown sugar

- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a 9-inch pan.

2Add brown sugar; stir until melted.

3Place pineapple and nuts over butter and brown sugar mixture.

4Combine white sugar and egg, milk, vanilla, 2 tablespoons butter and shortening.

5Add flour, baking powder and salt.

6Pour over pineapple and brown sugar mixture.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes; cool to lukewarm and turn out onto plate.
