Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 12 pimento stuffed green olives, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. (12 oz.) whole kernel corn
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz. tomatoes) can tomato soup
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 (15 oz.) pkg. corn bread mix

Directions

    Brown bacon and crumble in a 10 or 12-inch frying pan. Arrange pepper rings and sliced olives in pan.

    Cover pepper and olives with crumbled bacon, salt and pepper to taste.

    Cook and simmer meat; saute onions and garlic, stir in tomato soup and chili powder.

    Spoon meat mixture over corn, pepper and olive rings.
