Upside Down Pizza

Directions

   Preheat oven to 375 F.

   In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until meat is no longer pink.

   Add pizza sauce and Italian seasoning.

   Mix to combine and simmer 10 minutes.

   Remove from heat.

   In a medium bowl, stir together the sour cream and shredded mozzarella cheese.

   Set aside.

   Grease a 9x13x2 baking pan.

   Unroll the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface.

    Pinch all the seams shut and roll it out into the shape of the pan.

    Transfer the meat mixture into the baking pan and spread it out.

    Next, spread the sour cream/cheese mixture over the meat.

    Carefully place the crescent dough on top.

    Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake for 25-30 minutes until brown.

    Remove from oven.

    Dish it out with a serving spoon.

    Notes: As a substitute for the store bought refrigerated crescent rolls, I sometimes mix my own biscuit dough.

    Another optional substitute: Use 1 cup cottage cheese instead of 1/2 cup sour cream.
