  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. milk (add water to make 1 c.)

    Cream Crisco, sugar and oleo.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add flour and salt with milk.

    Add flavoring.

    Pour in a greased and floured tube pan.

    Put in cold oven.

    Set oven temperature at 350°. Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

    Do not open the oven door while baking!
