- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk (I use half evaporated milk)
- 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour and salt well.

2Add to hot milk.

3Bring to boil and boil 2 minutes.

4Add beaten egg yolk, return to heat and boil 2 more minutes, remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie crust.

5Top with meringue.
