  • 7/8 cup sugar
  • 1 3/8 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 5 5/8 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 11/16 tablespoons milk
  • 7/8 cup brown sugar
  • 4 3/8 tablespoons hazelnuts slivered, or almonds

    Preheat the oven to 200 degres Celsius (390 degrees Farenheit).

    With an electric mixer, combine butter and sugar until creamy.

    Add the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth, 2-3 minutes.

    Pour into a greased cake pan.

    Bake for 25 minutes.

    While the cake bakes, prepare the crumble topping. Mix the melted butter, milk, brown sugar and nuts.

    Top the hot cake with the crumble topping and return to oven.
