- 2 7/16 tablespoons softened butter
- 7/8 cup sugar
- 1 3/8 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 5 5/8 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 11/16 tablespoons milk
- 7/8 cup brown sugar
- 4 3/8 tablespoons hazelnuts slivered, or almonds
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 200 degres Celsius (390 degrees Farenheit).

2With an electric mixer, combine butter and sugar until creamy.

3Add the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth, 2-3 minutes.

4Pour into a greased cake pan.

5Bake for 25 minutes.

6While the cake bakes, prepare the crumble topping. Mix the melted butter, milk, brown sugar and nuts.

7Top the hot cake with the crumble topping and return to oven.

8Bake for 10 minutes until topping is caramelized.
