Vanilla Fruit Cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 8 cups fresh fruit, such as melon balls, strawberries, peach slices, green grapes and banana slices

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 to 8 minutes.

    Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla.

    Arrange fruit in a large bowl; pour syrup over fruit and toss gently.

    Chill several hours or overnight.
