  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. veal cutlets, cut thin
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. white wine
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. marjoram
  • 4 oz. pkg. Mozzarella

Directions

    Combine egg, milk and salt.

    Dip cutlets in mixture and then into bread crumbs.

    Brown in cooking oil.

    Remove meat to shallow baking dish.

    Saute onion and green pepper in skillet used for meat.

    Stir in tomato sauce, wine, spices and herbs; simmer 10 minutes.

    Pour sauce over cutlets.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Cut cheese in slices and place over meat.

    Return to oven until cheese melts (2 to 3 minutes).
