- 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 cups dates
- 2 cups water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Melt margarine in saucepan.

3Combine oats, flour and sugar.

4Add melted margarine to dry mixture.

5Cook the dates, water and salt in a saucepan until the water is evaporated. Stirring frequently.

6Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 greased pan and bake for 15 minutes.

7Spread date mixture and then press the rest of the oat mixture on top.

8Bake 20 minutes.
