- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen French green beans or broccoli spears, thawed and drained
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. milk
- 1 envelope instant onion soup mix
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. Swiss Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Arrange green beans or broccoli in bottom of 2-quart shallow baking dish; set aside.

3In small saucepan, melt butter.

4Blend in flour.

5Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.

6Add cheese, onion mixture and pepper; heat until cheese melts and soup mix is dissolved.

7Pour evenly over vegetables.

8Sprinkle bread crumbs over top.

9Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.

10Serves 6 to 8.
