- 1 lb. beef shanks or veal bones
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 to 3 stalks celery, sliced
- 1 or 2 medium potatoes, pared and diced
- 2 or 3 c. water
- 3 to 4 whole peppercorns
- 2 to 3 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, peas or lima beans
Directions
