  • 3-3/4 qt. onions, cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
  • 2 gal. green peppers, cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
  • 1-1/4 gal. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 80 each Frozen unbaked pre-formed pizza crust (6 inch), thawed
  • 2-1/2 qt. pizza sauce
  • 1-1/4 gal. low moisture part skim milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

    Saute onions, peppers and mushrooms in hot oil in skillet until tender.

    Cool completely.

    For each serving: Spread each pizza crust with 2 Tbsp.

    of the pizza sauce to within 1 inch of edge of crust.

    Place 1/2 cup of the vegetable mixture in center of each crust; sprinkle with 1/4 cup of the mozzarella cheese and 1 tsp.

    of the Parmesan cheese.

    Fold crust in half to completely enclose filling; crimp edge to seal.

    Place on 4 full-size sheet pans.

    (Or, use 1 half-size sheet pan for trial recipe.)

    Cut 2 small slits in top of each calzone to vent steam.

    Brush tops lightly with water.

    Bake in 325F-convection oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until dough is golden brown and filling is heated through (160F).
