Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 4 c. hot water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen veggies
  • 1 c. noodles, crushed (uncooked)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. thyme

Directions

    Saute beef and onion in margarine until brown.

    Add water, tomatoes, celery, salt, bouillon, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.

    Bring to a boil.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

    Add vegetables, noodles and thyme.

    Bring to a boil.

    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
