- 2 c. rice, soaked in water for 4 hours
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 c. water
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 dry hot red peppers
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 whole black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Put butter in a 5-quart saucepan, at medium-high heat.

3Add the onion and saute until brown, then add the mixed vegetables and cook for 3 minutes.
