  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 20 oz. bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. barley
  • 1 large can V-8 juice
  • bouillon to taste

Directions

    Fry hamburger and onion; drain off grease.

    In a soup kettle, mix hamburger, onion mixture and cover with 3 cups water.

    Add frozen vegetables, celery, barley, V-8 juice and bouillon.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for several hours, the longer the better.

    Serves 6.
