- chicken broth (equal to amount of 1 large can light and tangy)
- lentils
- barley
- pasta
- assorted frozen vegetables
- spices to taste (oregano, parsley, pepper, red pepper and onion powder)
Directions

1Start with all ingredients, except vegetables.

2Cook on high heat until it boils; stir often.

3Turn down heat to simmer.

4Cook 20 to 30 minutes or longer.

5Add frozen vegetables; simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
