  • 1 large can V-8 light and tangy
  • chicken broth (equal to amount of 1 large can light and tangy)
  • lentils
  • barley
  • pasta
  • assorted frozen vegetables
  • spices to taste (oregano, parsley, pepper, red pepper and onion powder)

Directions

    Start with all ingredients, except vegetables.

    Cook on high heat until it boils; stir often.

    Turn down heat to simmer.

    Cook 20 to 30 minutes or longer.

    Add frozen vegetables; simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
