- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 qt. water
- 2 c. cooked tomatoes or juice
- 1 c. cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 c. carrots, diced
- 1/2 c. celery, diced
- 2 onions, diced
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Put ground beef in water and add salt in a large kettle with tight-fitting lid.

2Cook on low heat until beef is done.

3Add the vegetables and pepper.

4Cook on high until mixture begins to boil, then reduce heat to low setting.

5Cook for 1 hour or until vegetables are done.

6Any leftover soup may be frozen.
