  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 qt. water
  • 2 c. cooked tomatoes or juice
  • 1 c. cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 c. carrots, diced
  • 1/2 c. celery, diced
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Put ground beef in water and add salt in a large kettle with tight-fitting lid.

    Cook on low heat until beef is done.

    Add the vegetables and pepper.

    Cook on high until mixture begins to boil, then reduce heat to low setting.

    Cook for 1 hour or until vegetables are done.

    Any leftover soup may be frozen.
