Ingredients
- 2 qts. water
- 1 c. cubed potatoes
- 1/2 c. corn
- 1/2 c. chopped okra
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 2 c. chopped or canned tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp. cornmeal, mixed with a little water
Directions

1Put 2 qts. water in a lg. pot and next 4 ingredients, cook for 20 minutes.

2Add tomatoes, oil, butter, salt and pepper and simmer for about 40 minutes.

3Mix a little water with cornmeal mix and add to soup.

4Cook 2 to 3 minutes.

5Very good served with cornbread.
