  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 (1 oz.) envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 (46 oz.) can cocktail vegetable juice
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. smoked sausage

Directions

    Combine first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cook ground beef in a nonstick skillet until meat is browned, stirring to crumble; drain.

    Stir meat into vegetable mixture. Reduce heat.

    Add smoked sausage and simmer 20 minutes.

    Yields 2 quarts.
