Ingredients

  • 1 medium size chuck roast, cut in small pieces
  • 2 large cans tomatoes
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can yellow corn with liquid
  • 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can string beans with liquid
  • 6 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped
  • 2 slices bacon, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. parsley flakes

Directions

    Fill large pot with water and season with salt, pepper, parsley and brown sugar.

    Add the ingredients and cook for several hours.

    Makes a large amount and it freezes well.
