  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 lb broccoli floret, tops no stem pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 5 cups cooked rice

Directions

    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until evenly brown; drain excess fat.

    Stir in green beans, broccoli and about 1 cup water. Cover and cook until beans and broccoli are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.

    Mix sugar and soy sauce together until sugar is dissolved. Pour over ground beef and mix well. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes.

    Serve over hot cooked rice.
