- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla

1Sift together flour and sugar.

2Add butter and mix until damp. Add milk and beat until creamy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Add flavoring and beat until smooth.

5Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 275°.
