Ingredients
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1 medium, minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. fresh bread crumbs (2 slices)
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 lb. ground venison
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
Directions

1About 2 hours before serving, cook onion in skillet over medium heat

3Add celery and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

4In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly and stir in bread crumbs, milk, salt and thyme leaves.

5Add venison, ground beef and onion mixture.

6Mix well.

7Spoon mixture into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

8Bake meat loaf in oven at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

9Pour off pan juices.

10Serve hot or cold.
