Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. fresh bread crumbs (2 slices)
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 2 lb. ground venison
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
Directions

1In an 8-inch skillet, over medium heat in hot butter, cook onion and celery until tender (about 5 minutes).

2Meanwhile, in large bowl, beat eggs slightly.

3Stir in bread crumbs, milk, salt and thyme leaves.

4Add venison, ground beef and onion mixture. Mix well.

5Spoon mixture into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

6Bake meat loaf in oven at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

7Pour off pan juice.

8Serve hot or cold.

9Makes 10 servings.
