  • 1/4 c. fat
  • 3 large onions
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 medium stalk celery

    Steak should be at least 1 1/2-inches thick.

    Dredge with flour and season with salt and pepper.

    Brown in fat on both sides.

    Cover tightly and cook in moderate oven (350°) or over low heat on top of stove until tender, about 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
