- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg yolks until thick.

2Add 1 cup sugar, flour and salt. Mix thoroughly.

3Add boiling water slowly, stirring constantly. Add vinegar.

4Cook over hot water until thick and smooth.

5Add salt and flavoring.

6Pour into baked pie shell (9-inch).

7Cover with meringue made from egg whites and 3 tablespoons sugar.

8Bake in 325° oven for 20 minutes.
