  • 1 medium pepper, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 2 (No. 2) cans tomatoes
  • 2 (No. 2) cans red kidney beans or pinto beans
  • 1/2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 (4 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 can condensed beef consomme
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
