  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. cooking oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 c. cold water

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    Sift again into an ungreased oblong cake pan.

    Make 3 depressions in sifted ingredients.

    Pour cooking oil in one, vinegar into the second and vanilla into the third.

    Pour water over all.

    Mix with a fork until well mixed. Batter will be thin.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until done.
