  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 Tbsp. liquid shortening
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients right in 9 x 12-inch cake pan.

    Make 3 holes.

    Put vinegar into one hole, vanilla into second hole and liquid shortening into third hole. Pour one cup water over everything.

    Stir and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
