  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together into cake pan (9 x 9-inch). Make 3 indentions into mixture.

    Pour vanilla in one, oil into another and vinegar into the third one.

    Pour 1 cup cold, cold water over this and mix well.

    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°. Do not attempt to remove from pan; serve from pan.

    Frost with your favorite frosting.
