  • 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1 carrot (bite size)
  • 2 potatoes, cut in chunks
  • 1/2 can tomato soup
  • 1 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt and pepper

Directions

    Put roast, onions, celery, carrots and potatoes in casserole dish.

    Sprinkle with seasonings.

    Add tomato soup to mixture and rinse can with a little water.

    Cover with lid and cook 5 hours at 250°.

    Do not raise lid.

    Do not brown meat; makes its own gravy.
