- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. butter/margarine
- 1 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except confectioners sugar.

2With hand, mix until thoroughly blended.

3Refrigerate dough 30 minutes.

4Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375°.

5Form dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.

6Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets; bake 15 to 20 minutes or until set but not brown.

7Let stand 1 minute.

8Remove to wire rack; cool partially.

9Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm; cool completely.

10Just before serving, re-roll in sugar.

11Makes about 20.
