  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Mix together shortening, salt, brown sugar and 1 cup of flour. Pat into greased pan.

    Bake 15 minutes at 325°.

    Mix remaining ingredients and pour on top of first layer.

    Bake 25 minutes.
