- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 1/2 c. walnut halves
Directions

1Cook without stirring over high heat the sugar and cream of tartar.

2Shake pan occasionally until it becomes a syrup-molasses color.

3Stir in walnuts and pour onto a well-buttered cookie sheet.
