- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup shortening (room temperature)
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, divided
- 1 tsp. water
- 48 walnut halves
Directions

1Mix first 4 ingredients.

2Beat shortening and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.

3Blend in 2 eggs.

4Gradually add flour mixture, beating on low speed after each addition until well blended.

5Refrigerate 2 hours.

6Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat remaining egg and water with fork until well blended.

7Shape dough into 48 (1-inch) balls; place, 2 inches apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.

8Press nut into top of each ball; brush with egg.

9Bake 12 to 14 min.

10or until golden brown.

11Cool on baking sheets 3 min.

12Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
