- 3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 lb. (1 c.) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 c. plain low-fat yogurt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- walnut halves
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

2In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add egg yolks, one a a time, beating well after each.

4At low speed, gradually beat in yogurt, milk and vanilla.

5Gradually add dry ingredients; beating until fluffy.

6Scrape bowl as needed.

7Stir in chopped walnuts.
