  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 34 cup sugar
  • 12 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

    Place walnuts in a single layer in a shallow pan; bake for 6-8 minutes until toasted and fragrant; cool.

    Process 1/2 cup toasted walnuts in a food processor until finely ground; place in a medium bowl.

    Add flour, baking soda, and salt to ground nuts, stir well with a whisk.

    Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
