Ingredients

  • 2 Big Potatoes, Boiled and Peeled
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Roasted Fennel Seeds
  • 10 Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 Medium Onion,finely chopped
  • 1 Medium Tomato,finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili paste
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp Kitchen King Masala Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Water or as per your need.
  • 1/4 Tsp Sugar
  • Cilantro
  • Salt as per taste

Directions

    Roughly crush the potatoes. Works best with Mortar and Pestle or Vegetable Masher.

    In a pan, add oil. When its slightly warm,add asafoetida,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,fennel seeds,curry leaves.

    When the mustard seeds flutter, add ginger-garlic-green chili paste. Stir for a while.

    Add onion and tomatoes. Cook for a while.

    Add potato chunks. Stir again.

    Add Salt and sugar.

    Add all the masala powders and mix well.

    Add water. Stir once. Cover and cook for 5 mins.

    Finally garnish with cilantro and serve with hot puri or roti.
