- 1 c. butter
- 2/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 c. very finely chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream together butter, brown sugar and vanilla.

2Combine flour and baking powder; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.

3Stir in 3/4 cup of the walnuts.

4Divide dough in half.

5Shape each half into a roll 8 inches long.

6Roll each in the remaining walnuts. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours or freeze until firm.

7Cut into 1/4-inch slices.

8Place slices 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.

9Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
