- 1 rabbit, cut up
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- water
Directions

1Cut up rabbit and soak in salt water for about 1/2 hour. Drain off water and pat dry.

2Season with salt and pepper; dredge in flour.

3Heat shortening in frying pan and brown rabbit well. Add 1 cup water. Cover and simmer about 1 hour or until tender. Make a thickener using 1 tablespoon flour in 1/2 cup water and stir until smooth.

4Pour around rabbit.

5Stir until thickened. Cook a little longer and serve with hot biscuits.
