- 2 (8 oz.) cans whole water chestnuts
- 1 lb. thin sliced bacon
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
Directions

1Cut bacon in half crosswise.

2Wrap 1/2 slice bacon around chestnut and secure with toothpick.

3Place on foil lined cookie sheet and bake in 400° oven until bacon is done, pouring off excess grease during baking.

4Thoroughly combine sugar and catsup (this will be grainy).

5When bacon is done, dip each chestnuts into sauce and return to cookie sheet.

6Place under broiler until sauce bubbles and browns slightly.

7Watch carefully!

8The sauce burns easily.
