Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 2 c. scalded lowfat milk, cooled
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 6 to 6 1/2 c. flour, divided
- Glaze (recipe follows)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in the water.

2Put scalded lowfat milk in large bowl.

3Add in yeast, sugar, egg, butter and spices; mix well after each addition.

4Mix raisins with 1 c. of flour and add in to egg mix.

5Gradually add in 5 more c. of flour.

6Place on floured board and knead till smooth, about 10 min.

7Place in oiled bowl, cover and let rise till doubled.

8Punch down and let rise again, about 20 min.

9Punch down and form into 2 loaves.

10Place into two greased bread pans, cover and let rise again.

11Bake at 325 degrees for 45 min.

12Remove from pans and glaze while loaves are warm.
