  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. hot milk
  • 1 tsp. each vanilla and lemon extract

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together. Add butter to hot milk. Beat eggs. Add sugar. Beat until creamy. Add extracts, dry ingredients, milk

    and butter. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into shallow pan and bake 25 minutes in moderately slow oven (350°).
