- 2 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 5 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2/3 c. oil
- 2/3 c. honey or sugar
- 12 c. whole wheat flour
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.

3Combine hot tap water with 7 cups whole wheat flour. Mix until well blended.

4Add salt and honey or sugar.

5Mix until well blended.

6Add 1 cup flour, then yeast mixture and blend thoroughly.

7Add 3 or 4 cups flour and knead dough until it begins to clean sides of the bowl.

8Oil hands.

9Separate dough into sizes to suit your pans.

10Oil top; cover with damp cloth.

11Let rise 1/3 in bulk (approximately 35 minutes).

12Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.

13Cool on rack.
